6th Grade World History Course Resources

    Online Student Textbook

We are lucky to have a new textbook, this year! The book is published by Holt McDougal and the title is: World History, Ancient Civilizations - Florida Edition.  To access the online edition of the book, all you need to do is get a username and password from your teacher.  Once you have that, go to the "my.hrw.com" website, and log in.  You have already been registered, so just go to the log in page.  You can read the book, and there are other things to do, including chapter review activities.  Good luck!
  Spelling and Vocabulary Practice

Quizlet is a fun, interactive resource for studying spelling and vocabulary for any subject!  Just type in your vocabulary words for the current section or chapter in your World History textbook, and Quizlet will create practice work, games, and quizzes for you.

You may use the Landrum username and password, or create your own.  Landrum's username is: landrumms, and the password is: lion. We have a new series/book this year so previous lists/studyguides/games are obsolute.
You may create your own list, etc, for future classes to use. This is a wonderful site for extra practice.

Back in the day, we used a great reference book called an encylopedia.  You could look up almost any person, place, or thing, and learn more about it!  The Media Center has the hard books, but here is the website for the online version:  http://www.worldbookonline.com/wb/Login?ed=wb&tu=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.worldbookonline.com%2Fwb%2Fhome%3Fgr%3DWELCOME%2520%21
