Reading
I often have parents and students ask me for book recommendations. My recommendations may vary based on the individual's interests, but I'm always happy to recommend a book from the Newbery or Sunshine State books lists. The ALA (American Library Association) website offers a comprehensive list of all Newbery Medal winning and honors books from 1922-present.
This year's Sunshine State award winning books are available in the Landrum Media Center. You may view the covers/titles/authors of these books by clicking on the link above.
The link listed above from JustReadNow.com offers great resources to engage your family in reading activities. The site includes links for the following: reading tips for parents, fun sites for students, great content-area reading for families, and books activities for families.
