Short of credits as the semester ends? Need to retake a failing class? Then the High School Completion program at First Coast Technical College is the answer.

In FCTC’s High School Completion program, students progress at their own pace using individualized materials. A teacher is present at all times to assist. Most courses are computerized, allowing students to work both in the classroom and at home.

Students obtain a letter from their guidance counselor, stating the course to be taken. They then bring this letter to the High School Completion classroom, Bldg. B, on the FCTC main campus. Students complete necessary registration forms and begin their coursework.

Students who have dropped out of high school and want to obtain their diploma may also enroll in the High School Completion program. They must first take the TABE test (Test of Adult Basic Education) at FCTC. Upon earning a grade level of 9.0 and presenting an official transcript for evaluation, they may enter class. Students must meet all State of Florida requirements for graduation. For more information, contact Theresa Burrell at 829-1019, or [email protected].
